Hola!

The “So Delhi Confluence” is one event every blogger looks out for each year. For me, it was the first time to attend this one most exclusive event in town.

I was lucky enough to receive an invite for the bloggers meet. This year it was on 5th August ’17 at The Lalit, New Delhi.  Presented by InFocus smartphone, it was one great event. Standing true to it’s name , the event had many successful people on board to share their experiences and give us insights in this industry. Super cool interactive sessions did help us learn a lot. Their agenda was to cover all aspects from food to travel to fashion blogging.

Top bloggers/influencers we got to meet are: Ajay Jain (Kunzum), Himanshu Sehgal (My Yellow Plate), Ajay Sood (Travelure.In) , Philippa Kaye (Memsahib in India), Tara Bedi (Instagram India), Ssumier S Pasricha a.k.a. Pammi Aunty, Pretty Little Things : Aakriti Rana Gill & Shaurya Sanadhya, Sahiba Gursahaney (The Tasting Fork), Ashish Kapur (The Wine Company), Gurpreet Singh Tikku (Mr. Tikku), Anahita Dhondy (SodaBottleOpenerWala), Karishma Gupte (PR Pundit), Naina Redhu (Naina.Co,  Juhi Godambe (JuhiGodambe.Com), Mehak Sagar Shahani (Wed Me Good), Anjali Batra (Food Talk India), Pallavi Chaturvedi (That Desi Girl), Keynote By Shivya Nath (The Shooting Star) and I could go on!

For me, this was the first one. The Lalit was undoubtedly perfect choice for the event. I had a great time! And do wish to attend it every year. I always used to wonder what usually happens at a bloggers meet; is it actually that glamorous as they all make it seem?

My experience  

• Dress up or go home

There were more than 300 bloggers. Imagine the energy, time and effort each blogger took to get on their entire outfits together to look oh-so-fabulous. I just could not show up in T-shirt and jeans. A fashion blogger? Look like one!

• Being on your cell phone is NOT rude

Yup, being on your phone, clicking selfies or of some random arrangement is not considered here rude. Because that’s what bloggers do! Well, a person’s got to update their social media, right? 😉

• Understanding the industry

It’s true. This confluence did help me understand how it all works a little better. You get to know different issues and suggestions. They even had Tara Bedi from Instagram India to help us know Instagram better. Because you are not alone in this.

• Fashion blogging is ruled by women

Talk about gender inequality. There are so less male fashion bloggers in comparison to female fashion bloggers. Why are so less guys interested in blogging?

• Click pictures or it never happened!

There are so many bloggers in this event. And everyone is trying to tell the world that they are here. Hence, the pictures, for *proof* 😛 People invite you to click pictures, with their merchandise or something, just like that, all the time.

• Lastly, amazing goodies

In the end, we all got such amazing bag of goodies! Who doesn’t like little gifts?

I really did enjoy my time there. Hope to meet you all next time! This is what I actually wore: A black midi dress (added a necklace), a pair of wedges and sling bag.
