We all know that if you can’t have an affair with the past, fashion is not for you.ย

Fashion survives on the inspiration from it’s previous decades and repeats itself. What we see today has returned from the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s era. The basics are same, with just little innovation and they call it a new trend. With these ever-changing styles it’s pretty hard to cope up.

Being a fashion influencer and not a shopaholic person at the same time is hard. I love vintage classic pieces in my wardrobe. Also, D.I.Y. is always to the rescue. One thing I have noticed is that there are some things which never go out of style. Plaid, floral prints, minimalist looks, to name a few.

Plaid has always been in trend since the beginning of the 60’s era. Through out the decade it keeps changing to overall plaid, top or just the bottom. Today, we are in a mood for plaid skirts. Those cute little plaid skirts looks adorable on all body forms and add a vintage feel to it. We have even seen plaid outfits in our favorite sitcoms, such as on Rachel Green from FRIENDS(yup, a fan). Now, plaid is all about how one wears it and styles it; in their own personality. Plaid shirts are also in trend which can be worn with a pair of rugged denim or as jackets over your basic tank top to get that smart tomboy look.

For this vintage loving look, I have donned plaid in a box pleated skirt along with a simple top, stockings and boots. I added a ribbon bow to my neck to give it some more vintage feel. With this outfit, you can carry a backpack for the college look or a simple wallet like me for a girls day out!
