Are you thinking what to do with your basic long t-shirt in this era of crop tops and dresses? I have an interesting and extremely easy D.I.Y for you.
Just like everyone even I have a closet full of clothes which I don’t get to wear because of some reason or the other. Sometimes it doesn’t fit you, doesn’t suits you or maybe even out of trend. And being up-to date with all these trends is pretty hard and expensive. But, we all have a way out “Do It Yourself (D.I.Y)”. It is one of the best ways to upgrade your wardrobe in a budget. Even, up-cycling helps to protect the environment. So. it’s a win-win!!
One of my latest D.I.Y is to up-cycle my basic T-shirt into a T-shirt dress! Yes, even you can do it in just half an hour! T-shirt dresses are one of the best things today. They are so comfortable, chic and minimal. You can wear them in summers as well as winters with the same ease and pair them with the so many different types of footwear, jackets, bags to get that oomph factor in your outfit.
So, I had this batman T-shirt lying around for almost a year but i just could not give it up. Come on its batman. How can anyone give it up. The T-shirt’s length was just at my hip. to make it a dress, all you have to do is attach a fabric beneath to make it a lot longer. I added a black denim fabric to my T-shirt as it gives a better fitting and keeps the dress in place. Just sew these both pieces together and DONE! You have your T-shirt dress. Just make sure to add the extra fabric according to the length of dress you want.
You can pair your T-shirt dress with a jacket, pantyhose and boots for the winters and even just sneakers for summers. you can even create your own style. This versatile garment has plenty of pair up options to give you a different look every time. This Dress packs a serious style punch!
Here I paired it with :
Jacket : Pepe Jeans ( Store in New Delhi)
Sling/Handbag: Lino Perros – Buy here
Sneakers: Forever 21
